Twelve modules, one bhatta
Each module below matches a job that already happens on the bhatta. The mock-ups show sample data only.
Day Register, like the paper one
Daily Entry is the one screen the munshi lives in, and it is laid out like the paper register he already keeps. The Day Register lists every worker on one row, grouped by pathera, bharai, nikasi and jalai: tap the chip for attendance, type the bricks, dasti and peshgi, and press one Save for the whole day.
The firing shift has its own row at the top: fireman, shift, line, coal, other fuel, temperature. Numbers already in the books show in green, so nothing is entered twice.
A progress bar shows whether the day is complete: attendance marked, moulding entered, both firing shifts logged, loading recorded. Mistakes are fixed with the pencil, and wages recalculate on their own.
Kiln board: lines, chambers or both
The kiln drawn line by line or chamber by chamber, with every unit coloured by its state: empty, loading, preheating, firing, cooling, ready, unloading. The owner sets the layout in Settings: lines, chambers, or both for a kiln that loads hybrid, with the count of each.
Tap a line to see its loading date, firing date, bricks in, coal used and the history of earlier rounds. The stage buttons walk a line forward; only the next allowed step can be tapped.
The red line always follows the latest firing entry, so the board shows where the fire really is.
Firing, coal and other fuels
Every firing shift is one entry: fireman, line, coal in kg, any other fuel in kg, temperature and notes. Two shifts a day are expected and the progress bar says if one is missing.
Kilns that burn wood, wood powder (burada), crop waste or rice husk alongside coal log each one on the same row. Coal is matched to the bricks fired on that line, so the app can tell you what one round really cost: per line, per month, per 1,000 bricks.
Every fuel is bought in tonnes on the Purchases page and its stock is tracked, so a minus figure means an entry is missing, not that the yard ran out. Info cards above the form show today, the last 7 days and fuel left while the munshi types.
Thursday kharchi / hafta hisab
Hafta hisab is worked out from the week's entries: bricks moulded at the pathai rate, loading and unloading at their rates, dasti already taken, peshgi recovery due.
Open Thursday Settlement, check each worker's line, adjust if needed and confirm. A slip prints for every worker, and the owner sees the cash needed before Thursday arrives.
Peshgi with limits & recovery
Every advance is recorded against the worker with the date and who gave it. The owner sets a peshgi limit per worker or per role; a munshi cannot exceed his own limit.
Recovery is a fixed amount or a share of each Thursday's wages, deducted automatically. The balance is always visible: to the owner, the munshi and on the worker's slip.
Worker khata & party accounts
A running account for every worker: wages earned, dasti, peshgi, recoveries and payments, in date order with a balance after each line.
Party Accounts do the same for suppliers, mistris and anyone you deal with: coal bought, payments made, what is still owed either way.
Filter by name or date, print to PDF, or send the statement on WhatsApp.
Sales, challan & sales insights
Book an order with an advance, then deliver against it truck by truck. Each delivery gets a numbered challan with vehicle, driver, destination and freight.
Print the challan or send it on WhatsApp. Record payments as they come in, and the receivables card shows who owes what and for how long.
Sales insights sit at the top of the page: sales amount, bricks sold by grade, average rate per 1,000 and cash received for today, 7, 30 or 90 days, with the daily sales curve.
Cash book with daily cash count
Every rupee in and out passes through the cash book: sales, advances, wages, purchases, payments to parties, owner drawings.
At closing the munshi counts the drawer and enters the figure. The app shows the difference against the book, so a short drawer is found the same evening, not next month.
Owner summary & insights
Owner Summary answers the evening questions: bricks moulded today, where the fire is, cash in hand, Thursday cash needed, stock of awwal, doem and khangar, coal left.
Insights shows the month: cost per 1,000, moulding per worker, coal per round, sales and receivables, with trends against last month.
Health check
Health Check reads the whole bhatta and lists what looks wrong: days with no attendance, a firing shift missing, coal stock below zero, a line stuck on unloading, a worker with an advance above the limit.
Run it once a week. Each finding points to the screen where it is fixed.
Roles for owner, munshi, accountant
Owner, munshi and accountant each get their own login and see only their screens. The owner decides what the munshi can delete, his peshgi limit and whether he can close a day.
Every entry stores who made it and when, and corrections keep history, so a dispute is settled by looking, not by arguing.
Works offline, syncs later
The app is installed from the browser, with no app store. Entries are saved on the phone first and sent when the signal returns; the pop-up says "Saved offline, will sync later".
The munshi can work the whole day without signal and sync in the evening. A backup of the whole database is taken every night.
